What Each Tier
Actually Looks Like

Published pricing only helps if you can see what the money buys. So I built three complete sites — a plumbing company, a dental practice and a CPA firm — one at each project tier. They're live, they work, and you can click through every one of them.

Comparison of the Launch, Growth and Intelligent project tiers, showing what each one includes and the concept build made at that tier.

Prices are starting points. Every project gets a fixed written quote before any work begins — see the full pricing page for hosting and care plans.

Why these are concept builds

Nobody paid for these. They're speculative work, built the way I'd build them for a real client in each of those industries, and labelled as concepts on every page so there's no ambiguity about it.

That's deliberate. A portfolio of client work shows you what someone else needed. A concept build shows you whether I understand your business — which is the actual question when you're deciding who to hire. Each of these started with research into how people in that industry actually make the decision to call, and the design follows from that rather than from a template.

The businesses are invented and the phone numbers don't ring. Everything else — the pricing logic, the calculators, the booking flow, the intake assistant — is real code doing real work.

Concept Build 01 / Launch — $2,000 Residential Trades

Northline Plumbing

Plumbing is the clearest case in this set, because the conversion path is so narrow. Almost nobody fills in a form when there's water coming through the ceiling — the job of the site is to get a phone call, at any hour, from a stranger on a phone who is already stressed.

So the phone number is the hero. There's no clever headline animation above it and no carousel to scroll past. The top bar checks the time of day and changes what it says: during business hours it offers same-day appointments, after hours it promises a live dispatcher rather than a voicemail box. On mobile a call button is pinned to the bottom of the screen from the first pixel to the last.

The one thing that separates this from every competitor in the metro is the flat-rate table. Trades sites almost never publish numbers, and homeowners have learned to read that silence as a warning sign. Putting eight real starting prices on the page — and stating plainly that the diagnostic fee is the only thing you owe if you decline the work — does more for trust than any amount of stock photography.

What this tier includes

  • Five pages, fully custom — home, services, pricing, service area, contact
  • Conversion architecture — click-to-call in the nav, hero, footer and a sticky mobile bar
  • Live open/closed status driven by the visitor's local time
  • Published flat-rate pricing with an honest re-quote policy stated up front
  • Local SEO groundwork — service-area markup, LocalBusiness schema, Google Business Profile setup
  • Trust signals placed where they're read — licence, bonding, warranty, review count
Sector

Concept Build 02 / Growth — $3,500 Healthcare

Cedar & Bloom Family Dentistry

Dental is a different problem. The visitor isn't in a crisis — they're in a stall. Two things keep people out of the chair: they're anxious, and they have no idea what it will cost. Most practice websites address neither, then wonder why traffic doesn't convert.

This build attacks both directly. The headline names the anxiety instead of pretending it isn't there. An entire section explains what the practice does differently for nervous patients, in specifics — a stop signal that actually stops, topical before the injection, no comments about how long it's been. That section exists because it's the copy a scared thirty-eight-year-old is looking for and almost never finds.

The centrepiece is the cost estimator. Pick a treatment, pick your insurance, set your remaining deductible, and it shows the standard fee, what the plan covers, the deductible applied and what you'd actually pay. It's honest about being an estimate. Publishing that number is uncomfortable for a practice and enormously reassuring for a patient — which is exactly why so few competitors will do it.

Underneath sits a real booking interface: eight days of generated availability, slot selection, a summary that reads back the appointment. At this tier that's the pattern; on a live build it reads and writes actual openings in the practice management system.

What this tier adds over Launch

  • Up to twelve pages — a page per treatment, each with its own price and search intent
  • Interactive cost & insurance estimator covering seven treatments and five plan types
  • Online booking interface with day and slot selection
  • Motion and micro-interaction used sparingly, tuned to a calming brief
  • Professional copywriting — the nervous-patient section is the conversion asset here
  • Conversion tracking on estimator use, booking starts and abandoned steps
  • Blog or CMS so the practice can publish treatment content without calling me
Sector
Family & cosmetic dentistry
Visitor
Anxious adult who has been putting it off
Single goal
A booked appointment without a phone call
Concept Build 03 / Intelligent — $7,000 Professional Services

Harbrook & Vance, CPAs

An accounting firm is the clearest illustration of what the top tier is for, because the website stops being a brochure and starts being software the client uses all year.

The whole page is built on the visual language of the profession — ruled ledger paper, tabular figures set in mono so the columns align, fountain-pen blue and a single oxblood red reserved for deadlines. That's not decoration. When a business owner lands on an accountant's site, "does this feel precise" is a real evaluation they're running.

Four things on the page do actual work. The filing calendar computes the next occurrence of every federal deadline against today's date and counts down, colour-coded by urgency. The planning calculator runs live federal brackets, self-employment tax, the QBI deduction and the standard deduction, handles the sole-proprietor versus S-corp split, and divides what's owed across the remaining quarterly due dates. The portal preview is a working four-tab interface showing sequenced tasks, document status, financials and flat-fee invoices. And the intake assistant walks a prospect through five questions and returns a recommended engagement with a fee range before anyone at the firm has spent a minute on them.

That last one is the tier in miniature. On this concept it runs on scripted logic; on a real build it's a language model reading the answers, drafting the engagement scope, and filing the lead into practice management automatically. Same interface, and roughly forty minutes of partner time saved per lead.

What this tier adds over Growth

  • Custom web application, not just pages — the calculators and portal are software
  • AI integration for intake, triage, document handling and drafting
  • User accounts & secure login for the client portal
  • Admin dashboard & reporting on the firm's side of the portal
  • API and CRM integration — practice management, e-signature, payments
  • Staging environment & version control so changes are tested before clients see them
  • Training for your team on the tooling they'll be running

Single goal
A qualified lead that has already scoped itself

Reading these honestly

Three things worth saying plainly, because you'll work them out anyway.

Nobody paid for these. They're unpaid concept work and I'd rather say so than let you assume otherwise. My paid client work is on the portfolio page, and both of those sites are live if you want to go and judge them.

The businesses aren't real. Invented names, invented reviews, phone numbers in the reserved 555 range that don't connect to anything. Every page carries a banner saying so, and they're set to noindex so they can't compete with a real plumber or dentist in search results.

The tier boundaries aren't walls. A plumber who wants online booking can have it, and a dental practice that only needs five pages doesn't have to buy twelve. These three are a way to see the shape of each budget, not a menu you have to order from. What you actually get is a fixed written quote for the thing you actually need.
